While America’s airwaves are constantly being blown up by Adele, fun., and Kelly Clarkson, it’s a different story overseas. Check out these hot tracks that are blowing up the charts, and could become big hits here shortly.
1) Earthquake, Labrinth ft. Tinie Tempah
An upbeat club hit, Earthquake might not have what it takes to dominate the Hot 100, but I think it would do well on the dance/club charts. It’s hard to say what other songs you can compare it to, but I think it’s a good song that may do well on this latest British Invasion in music.
2) Proud, JLS
A product of England’s The X Factor like One Direction, JLS is a pop/R&B group that have had great success in their homeland. Their latest single, Proud, is an uplifting ballad from their upcoming fourth studio album. Mirroring Boys II Men in song composition, these boys definitely have talent and are great singers. Can’t gauge potential U.S. success, but I don’t think it’ll go far hear. Definitely worth a listen though.
3) Troublemaker, Taio Cruz
With previous hits like Dynamtie and Break Your Heart, Taio Cruz is no stranger to the U.S. music scene. His latest album has yet to have any success in America, but he’s been blowing up the charts elsewhere. Hangover, the first single from this new album TY.O, most certainly should have been all over the radio here but wasn’t, but he may have a better chance with Troublemaker. It will be a certain hit in the clubs but it may be able to be a big hit come Memorial Day with it’s hot beat and radio-friendly sound like LMFAO.
